Cold Forged Parts
Cold Forged Parts are designed from the reliable technique of cold forging. This process is conducted at the room temperature; hence this is an economical and energy-efficient procedure. The metal is carefully and precisely strengthened using this process to design durable parts. The Cold Forged Parts available here are the perfect combinations of neat shape with improved mechanical properties. They are developed to ensure less usage of less costly material. They are available with excellent mechanical and physical properties with highly durable designs and sturdiness. They come with good surface finishing and scale free surfaces. With consistent and precise tolerances along with better grain structure enhance their functionality.
What Is Cold Forging?
This is a manufacturing process in which a bar stock is inserted into a die to squeeze with a second closed die. The twisting of the materials is started at room temperature so that the shape and size of the original part can be changed until it attains the shape of the die. When the part reaches the temperature of 250°C, it is the final step that results high friction strain rates during deformation.
Features of Cold Forged Parts:
- Lack of grain growth
- Perfectly aligned shape
- Exceptionally strong and durable surface
- Tolerance of tenths of millimeters
